Missin’ A Boot
Boots was born right here on our homestead, and he holds a very special place in our hearts. He’s the first foal sired by our stallion, Bob—a proud palomino with a gentle disposition. Boots’ dam is Tootsy Roll, a beautiful bay mare who belongs to JR’s sister and lives just down the road at Grandma and Grandpa’s farm. From the moment he was born, we knew Boots was something special. His soft, muted black-gray coat, delicate white blaze, and three white stockings made him absolutely adorable—like he was dipped in paint and “missin’ a boot!”

That’s exactly how JR’s sister described him when she first laid eyes on him, and the name stuck. So “Boots,” officially known as Missin’ A Boot, became a cherished member of our family.
Though we’ve loved watching him grow, we always knew that one day Boots would move on to bring joy to another family. Now a gelding, Boots is in training and showing incredible promise—especially when hitched to a cart. He has a striking presence when he moves: elegant, refined, and almost magical. His natural talent and calm demeanor make him a joy to work with, and he’s already turning heads.
Boots is just beginning to venture out on the trails, and he’s taking each new challenge in stride. We’re confident that with continued training and a solid foundation, he will become an outstanding driving and trail horse.
Boots will be available for adoption in the spring or summer of 2026, once his training is complete. We are looking for the perfect home where he can truly shine and be someone’s forever horse.
If you’re interested in giving Boots the loving home he deserves, please reach out. He’s ready to make someone very lucky.
